I’m just going to jump right into this one. I was really surprised at how much I LOVED this book. It sucked me in from the beginning. Cory Rossi and Adella (Della) Costello are a perfect match. I honestly couldn’t imagine anyone else with either of them. They just fit so perfectly together. The emotion, drama and action just kept the pace at a great speed and really kept me focused on the story. The chemistry, the chemistry between Cory and Della was phenomenal and left me wanting more. I couldn’t bear to see anything bad happen to them. Cory wanted nothing more than to keep Della safe and protect her at any cost. He has the utmost respect for her, but did not mind to also put her in her place where needed. Della is such a strong-willed woman in a man’s world. But she didn’t back down to anyone, no matter the threat. No one would see her shy away. The twists, turns and tons of angst kept me on my toes waiting to see how everything was going to end. I really enjoyed this book and sometimes I forgot how much I really love Bethany-Kris’s ability to pull me into a really good dark mafia romance.
