Here we are again, with another great read from Bethany-Kris. I feel like I say this about most every book I read, but I don’t know how these Authors do it. They suck you into this world that they’ve built and you just have no clue how it happened. And this is why I love reading Bethany-Kris’s books, she does exactly that for me. So effortlessly.

In this book we follow along Bene Guzzi and Vanna Falco. Poor Bene, he has “lost” his twin bother to his new wife. With Beni in a new relationship and chapter in his life, Bene is lost and doesn’t know what to do with himself. He is struggling to find his own identity and the only way he knows how to cope it by going on a bender. Or as he likes to call it, he’s “having a moment.” In the Guzzi way, of course we have another shockingly handsome and devilishly charming man with such sex appeal that is oozes off the pages. As for our heroine, Vanna, she holds a huge grudge in her heart for the Guzzi family and wants nothing but to see them fall for what they did to her father. She has such a strong need to fulfill this vendetta to avenge her father’s death. Vanna’s a tough cookie. Unbelievably strong and brave beyond belief. However, she is so very stubborn. But once these two meet the paths that were walking down seem to dissipate. They have such great Chemistry with one another, and I couldn’t wait to see how their story came to a conclusion.

Overall this was a great book and a great read. It was enticing, swoon-worthy, and kept my attention and me on my toes the entire read. Not only did they bring out the best in each other, but I was also able to feel what they have, which I have found to be hard for a great book to do. I didn’t get a chance to read books (Chris) 3 and (Beni) 4, but you best believe that I will be reading them shortly after this. I really recommend this book/series to anyone who loves mafia romances. Strong ⭐⭐⭐⭐stars for this book!
