Series: Kings of Mayhem MC #4
A shoulder-fired missile broke my body.
But betrayal obliterated my heart.
For months I lingered in and out of hell until my body healed.
Now I’m back in town with my club brothers. They think I am ok. But I am still fighting a war of darkness in my head and I can’t see a way out.
Then she comes into town like a summer breeze and makes me feel things I didn’t know existed.
She has the voice of an angel and the body of a goddess.
But she is running from her own demons. From the Devil himself.
He’s coming to town and she’s scared. But I’ve walked through hell and survived.
CASSIDY
I’ve spent years running from my past.
Town to town.
State to state.
Never putting down roots.
Then I meet a beautiful, scarred beast of man who makes me feel something for the first time of my life…hope.
He makes me want to stay but it’s an impossibility.
Because the Devil is coming for me and when he arrives I won’t stand a chance.

My Reviews:
Let me preface this review by saying that these books touch on a lot of rough subjects. Loss, abuse, alcohol and drug addiction and ton and tons of graphic sex scenes. Please be cautious before reading this series.

Cade. What an absolute sweetheart. Typically, when you read MC romance, a lot of the heroes are just complete assholes, but not Cade. Cade is sweet, loving, kind and very protective over what is his. Indy. Man, Indy is probably one of my favorite heroine characters ever. She is 100% sassy and will tell you where to go. She has been through so much throughout her life and experience so much heartache and loss that you literally feel all her emotions jump off the page when you read her part in the book. This story really hit home for me. I really connected with it and understood where both Indy and Cade we’re coming from. I was really rooting for them throughout the entire book, yet you couldn’t help but feel the hard ache and pain that both of them felt. Overall I really enjoyed the story you could tell with the two of them there is a lot of heartache and pain throughout their entire lives as well as what they went through with kids. The one thing I was a little weirded out by it was that they were kind of like childhood lovers. You can tell and you know that these two are best friends and thick as thieves, but it just felt strange as they didn’t start actually dating until they were Juniors in high school. I definitely expected that they would’ve started dating away earlier just based on how the story was going. Other than that, I really enjoyed this book a helluva lot and I am excited to read book two. I’m giving this a solid ⭐⭐⭐⭐ stars!

This book picks right back off to where “Kings of Mayhem” ends. The Cade I’ve come to know has changed. He is a different person who is overcome with grief and loss. Though I didn’t want him to change, I think that it is realistic to have things happen the way they went in this book. You can identify with Cade and his fear for the MC, his family and especially Indy. Too many bad things keep happening with not a clue of who could be causing them. Indy, is one of the strongest heroines I think I’ve ever read. She is resilient, strong and never gives up no matter what obstacles life throws her way. Throughout this book, their relationship is tested with the killing of members of their MC. I found “Brothers in Arms” to be absolutely heartbreaking. The only thing I really didn’t like about this book was how much death surrounding this book. We get it, someone has it out for the MC. At points, it was a little unbelievable. Overall, the raw emotion is well portrayed and really had me engrossed in everything they were going through.

We are brought right back into the MC world this time with Honey and Caleb. After a 2 year relationship with her now ex-boyfriend, she has one really hot and delicious night with Caleb Calley. I can’t tell you how much I liked the Calley men. Once they have their eyes set on something they go all out for it no matter the consequences. He is loyal, charming and very protective. Honey, like her name, is so sweet. She is very cautious and anxious about things and I could so relate with her. Both her an Caleb are such a great fit for each other. Overall I did like this book, mostly because Caleb is so dreamy. For an MC romance, I did think it was kind of soft and not dark enough, though I am glad it was softer because I am emotionally drained from “Brothers in Armes”. I definitely wasn’t expecting it to be so mild-ish and soft. I give this a solid ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ stars.

Now on to book number four in the series, we meet Chance and Cassidy. Chance has had a bad streak of luck. With his body and heart scared from past military experience, Chance just needs a chance. Cassidy has her own demons chasing her. After being on the run forever, Chance helps open her eyes and put roots down. Will they both be able to overcome their own demons? I LOVE the chemistry between these two. I literally had to fan myself a few times. They kept things hot and heavy. I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough. I can’t get over how much they put out on the table for one another. They both were each other’s fresh air and a new chance at a happy life. Overall beautifully written and so easy to follow along. High ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 1/2 stars!
