I feel like I say this every time I read a lighthearted contemporary romance, but I’ll say it again, I truly love books like this. They’re not dark and dangerous like what I normally read and I forget how much I really love books like this. I should read more of them in between all the dark and dangerous. Declan (Mack) and Frannie have such a great connection. Though you could feel the chemistry between them, it wasn’t as strong as I was hoping for. I absolutely loved the relationship and connection between Mack and his girls as well as their relationship with Frannie.They just seemed to connect and really get along so naturally. The only thing that really annoyed me about this book was how dismissive Mack was about his feelings as well as Franny‘s feelings about each other. He kept saying that it wouldn’t work but there wasn’t any proof that it wouldn’t work. Overall, I really enjoyed this book and can’t wait to read more books by Melanie Harlow. She has such a great writing style.
