Publication Date: May 19th 2020
Mary Bayne would do anything for her brother and his children. When their parents disowned him, she followed. When he got in trouble, she helped. But, when he screws up one time too many, she dives into a crash course in parenting which conflicts with her career as a stripper. Complicating matters, she’s falling for Walt, the president of a local motorcycle club. When the club’s racism clashes with the future they want, Walt tries to change the rules. But, changing the rules might just kill him.

This was my first book by A. R. Case and it was a pretty good read. At times it was fast paced, but at others it was quite slow and seemed to drag on. Our main characters were well thought out and developed and it felt like a different read for me. I am not what exactly was different about it, maybe the writing, it just felt different to me. This wasn’t my favorite book of the year because of the back and forth on the speed of how the book was reading. It kind of got me confused because at times I would be so into the story and it would be going fast and then it would just slow down. Also at times, I had to go back and keep re-reading parts because I was confused on what was going on. If you are up for an interesting story that surrounds an MC with somewhat deep components, this would be a good read for you!
