After the Fall is the fourth book in the Fallen Men MC series by Giana Darling. It is a follow up book to Lessons in Corruption, which is King and Cressida’s first book, and I recommend that you read it first. As you know, I just read and reviewed Lessons in Corruption and thought it was a good idea for me to dive right into this book after finishing.
To tell you that this book had my emotions all over the place is an understatement. I love the way Giana Darling writes her main characters. They are fully fleshed out and you can really get into their minds, which is one of my favorite things to do while reading. King is so strong, passionate and well beyond his years. Cressida has grown into a beautiful individual who’s not scared to chase her dreams or share her feelings with you. They have such a strong love for one another that it just radiates off of the pages.
Overall, I really enjoyed this book. However, I wasn’t totally glued to my kindle/phone while reading, which was very disappointing for me. I didn’t feel this way while reading Lessons in Corruption, so I’m not sure where this one went wrong. I just feel like I was trugging along to get to some action. About halfway through the story did start to pick up, which helped. Other than that, this book was good. The story and characters were written out beautifully and the passion in this book made my heart swoon. Giana Darling really knows how to flesh out and tell a really good story about two people who love each other more than anything in the world and who would do absolutely anything to protect one another.
