CORRADO
by Bethany-Kris Guzzi Duet Legacy, #1 Publication Date: July 8, 2019 Genres: Adult, Romantic Suspense, Organized Crime. Erotic Romance

LIVE! LIVE! LIVE!
SYNOPSIS:
The son of a prominent Cosa Nostra Don, Corrado Guzzi’s life should have been all mapped out. He would be what every other Guzzi man was, too—made, mafia. It’s their way. But when given another choice, the chance to be something more, he takes it. Even if it comes with strings.
It’s there that he might find where he belongs, and Alessio Sorrento. The man who could change his whole life.
This love thing? It should have been easy, but they made it hard. Nothing about a relationship like theirs is simple. Dictated by rules, weighed down with things left unsaid, and already hanging by a frayed thread.
This is what love looks like before, and after. Before she came along. And after she was there.
It takes one woman to change everything.
Ginevra Calabrese wasn’t ready for this—for them.
So, what happens now?

NOTE: Corrado (book one) and Alessio (book two) are a duet within The Guzzi Legacy series, and should be read in order. All other titles in the series are standalone. This is NOT a love triangle.

Corrado and his brother Chris are asked to join their father on a trip to see about a business his father helped start. Corrado and Chris chose to stay at The League, where assassins train, and it changes where he thinks his life is going. Corrado is cocky. The most stubborn man I have ever read in a book. He was really grading on my nerves at most points. He’s really unwilling to communicate with anybody, even himself and that really bothered me. His self-involvement stops his character growth. Alessio. Oh, Alessio! I really loved Alessio, also known as Les. He is so upfront and feels like such a genuine character and his overall very well written. It amazes me that he has the patience to put up with Corrado. Ginevra, also knows as Ginny. I really liked Ginny. She really seems to have her head on her shoulders. She is snappy and will tell you where to go, but is also sweet and shy. A family arranged marriage proposal, leads Ginny and her betrothed to hatch a ‘break up the wedding’ plan with Corrado’s help.
This was surprisingly a really hard book to get into at the beginning. It started out extremely slow to me. I don’t know what made it really, really slow. When part two of the book started, it definitely sped up and went at a much faster and better pace. Bethany-Kris really knows how to write the mafia world. I really enjoy her books and the way she describes things for her characters and how they fall in line in the mafia world and as an individual and with each of their respective families. This is my first ever true MM Romance (though I have read MMF Romances before but this one is different) and though I am not a bisexual male I thought it was written fairly well. I don’t know how sexual experiences are for males in general so I’m not sure if it was accurately portrayed. Do I think it may have been accurately portrayed? Yes. But it’s not up to my discretion to judge that since I don’t know what a MM sexual relationship is like. I will say that they do have an interesting relationship as well as an open relationship, as long as they are both honest with each other, which was tested in the second part of this book, they are a strong couple. I love the relationship that they have with each other. It’s honest, open and there is so much trust and loyalty embedded into what they have with each other. What I can comment on thought is the chemistry, lust and fire that Corrado and Ginny have. Damn it jumped off the page anytime they were near each other. No one can deny that they have great chemistry. Although the Bethany-Kris has stated that this is not a love triangle, it reads that way. Hopefully we will get a better understanding of the relationship between the three of them in Alessio’s book. I’m really excited for Alessio’s book to come out next I can’t wait to see what happens next in their story! Solid ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ read!
