How does she do this every single time?? A. L. Jackson has such a way with words and always tells her stories in such a beautifully lyrical way. I just love it. Somehow, every story in this series gets better and better each time.
Everything and I mean absolutely everything was fantastic. The writing, story, and characters have been etched into my soul. I absolutely love Hailey and Cody. They are such a dynamic duo who have such intense feelings for one another. I absolutely loved watching their love blossom into something so beautiful from beginning to end. Hailey is so unbelievably sweet and just wants to have and create the best life for her daughter that she can. And she does just fine because she’s a fantastic mother. As for Cody? My goodness, did I love this man. He is unbelievably cocky and a huge flirt, but when it comes to Hailey, he’s a big pile of goo. Don’t even get me started with Hailey’s daughter Maddie. She is such a little firecracker and the relationship that Cody really embraced with her, was like the cherry on the top. I mean I truly melted like a popsicle and a hot summer day. Their little relationship is to die for and absolutely adorable.
I really enjoyed this story and I especially loved listening to it on audio. As always, the audiobook experience never fails to make my reading experience 10 times better. Erin Mallon and Stephen Dexter did such a great job bringing these two characters to life. I thought they were such a great choice to voice these two characters.
The end of this book definitely got me, I definitely shed a few tears. It was so good to see some of my favorite characters again. This was another fantastic read by this author. I highly recommend this if you’re looking for an easy, fast, and steamy contemporary romance read.
