To tell you how confused I was about this book would be an understatement. As mentioned above I received this as an ALC because I got an advanced copy of Lies in the Dark, which is a companion novel to this series. I didn’t expect to get this last book as an ALC and because I haven’t read books 1, 2 and 3 yet I just went in completely blind. I wish I had the time to read them before starting this one. But for being thrown into the end of this story, I actually really enjoyed it. I love this author’s writing style and though I only got a glimpse of these characters in the end, they really grew on me! Maxine Mitchell and Grayson Owens did an outstanding job with this story and I thought they fit the characters so well. I honestly couldn’t imagine anyone else voicing these characters. I can’t wait to go back and read books one, two, and three to really immerse myself in the entire story!
