Ana Huang stories always amaze me. Somehow, without even trying, she easily sucks me into the world that she’s created. The marriage in crisis trope is becoming one of my favorites. It’s such a pleasure to read about a couple fall back in love with each other again. I think Ana did a phenomenal job doing that with Dominic and Alessandra.

I had the pleasure of getting a ALC, which I’m incredibly grateful for, and Teddy Hamilton & Vanessa Vasquez did such a phenomenal job with this book. I’m pretty sure I haven’t listened to any other audiobooks with Vanessa and I absolutely loved her voice for Ále. Such a perfect fit. And Teddy Hamilton could literally do no wrong. His voice is impeccable and I don’t think I could’ve pictured anyone else voice Dom other than him.

I really loved the book overall, Ále and Dom are to die for, but the ending fell so flat for me. I feel like I was expecting a little bit more drama than what we were given, considering the circumstances with Roman and whatever the heck he’s part of. It just didn’t feel like it was fully fleshed out.

Other than that this book overall was great! I’m so excited to read/listen to King of Sloth once it comes out next year!
