I went into this book, almost completely blind. All I knew is that it was a Dark, Why Choose, Captive Romance, and I said, sign me up! This is an author who is new to me, so I was really eager to get started and my goodness this book really surprised me.
There is a lot thrown at you in this book, especially because it’s the first one in this series. Everything about it was so interesting and had me honestly at the edge of my seat. All four main characters, Alana, JD, Maverick, and Reid really had an impact on me. They’re also different and unique, and I love the dynamics between them. Alana, our female main character, has had one awful life. She has gone through so much and I really feel for her. The chemistry between her and the guys has me really excited to see where things go and how their relationship will develop throughout the series.
I really can’t wait for book 2 because that cliffhanger really got me.
