I received this audiobook in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I love absolutely nothing more than being in my hockey romance era 💁🏻‍♀️💁🏻‍♀️

Going into this book I was very unsure how much I would actually like it. Shocking, I know. At first Mason, the hero, somewhat put me off. Now I’m all for a brooding and arrogant MMC. I mean they are my favorite. But something about Mason just didn’t sit right with me. Honestly, I wanted to hit him a few times. However, after diving deeper to his backstory, I really grew to love him. I especially loved the relationship that he has with his brother, Scottie. As for Harper, our heroine, I absolutely adored her from the very beginning. She’s so easy to identify with, and I felt extremely bad for her with the situation with her family. Mason and Harper have such a great relationship once it finally came to fruition. They have such great banter with each other, and even though things started out pretty rocky in the beginning, they have undeniable chemistry that made my heart flutter.

I had the pleasure of listening to this book on audio, which I always love, and I really enjoyed it. The one thing I will say that I didn’t like about this audiobook is that the same narrators, Stella Hunter and Teddy Hamilton also narrated the first book in the series. Though I adore both narrators so much, it was extremely difficult for me to place our new main characters with the same voices that I heard in the first book. No offense to this author at all but I really don’t like when authors do this. It definitely became confusing at some parts, because I thought I was listening to the main character from the first book. Other than that, I really enjoyed the audio for this book. They really brought the characters to life, and as always made my reading experience even better.

I’m really enjoying this series a lot especially since I am in my hockey romance era! I can’t wait to read the next book in the series!

Rating: 4 out of 5.

About the Author:

USA Today and Wall Street Journal bestselling author of over forty mature young adult and new adult novels, LA COTTON is happiest writing the kind of books she loves to read: addictive stories full of teenage angst, tension, twists and turns.

Home is a small town in the middle of England where she currently juggles being a full-time writer with being a mother/referee to two little people. In her spare time (and when she’s not camped out in front of the laptop) you’ll most likely find LA immersed in a book, escaping the chaos that is life.
