Lucian Marcello is aware of the expectations following him as the oldest son of one of North America’s most infamous Cosa Nostra Dons. Family in his world is more than blood and sharing a last name. It’s the honor, respect, business, and the life. Being a Capo is just a stepping stone until it’s time for him to take on the role of underboss but a chance meeting with her could be the one thing he’d risk it all for.

She is exactly what he didn’t know he was looking for.

Jordyn Reese spends her time trying to stay under the radar of a man who wouldn’t think twice about killing her. Unwillingly affiliated with a dangerous MC gang, her life is dominated by the men surrounding her and her future rests solely in how useful she can be for them. The last thing she needs is some Mafioso gaining her more unwanted attention from the club.

He is everything she should stay away from but can’t.

Notoriously violent when it comes to getting what he wants, Lucian will stop at nothing to make the target on Jordyn’s back disappear. But sometimes the worst threats are the ones you can’t see until it’s too late. The truth behind Lucian’s history is about to take center stage in more ways than one, and it’ll either save him … or kill him.

This world leaves everyone a little filthy.

Filthy Marcellos: La Cosa Nostra is not just a choice of regime and routine, it’s a culture. Born as mafia royalty, the Marcello brothers were raised ingrained with the beliefs and rules of what it meant to be a Mafioso prince. It is for life. Their status is considered a given right. They will always be these people. They will always be Marcellos.

This is my first Bethany-Kris book and I decided to read this book on a whim. I found it randomly on Amazon when I was doing my daily search of what to read next (although I should really stop looking for more books to read on Amazon since my TBR list on my Kindle is astronomical ). Anyways, last year I truly discovered my love for mafia Romance books. I honestly cannot get enough of them (recommendations are highly encouraged) they are probably one of my favorite Romance tropes. What can I say? I’m all for a bad boy 🤷🏻‍♀️

Nine times out of 10 I know I’m reading a really good book that I truly enjoy in all aspects is when I cannot stop thinking about it and would do absolutely anything to continue to read the book throughout my day. I did this on many occasions while I was at work. Mind you I was listening to the audiobook version of this, I for sure should not have been reading this at work considering the crude language and very sexual content that is not work appropriate 🤷🏻‍♀️

The description in this book is absolutely phenomenal. Most of the time I loath very descriptive book with unnecessary information. Most of the time authors tend to drag out something that can be explained in so few words. Bethany Kris on the other hand uses these elaborate explanations that really tell the story and you get a vivid picture of what’s actually going on in your head while you’re reading. When an author can do that for me I know this is an excellent book. This book is filled with lust, hate, murder, deception and tons of hot and steamy sex. Lucian and Jordyn, our two main characters, both come from rough pasts and both are knocked on their asses when they meet each other.

Lucian is brought into the Marcello family as a young boy and fits right into the family like he was born in it. He loves his family, his life and the family business. He is charming and mysterious. Jordyn is such a strong and resilient character. She takes no shit and will tell you where to go. These two are perfect for each other and they also balance each other. Overall I really enjoyed the storyline as well as both Lucian and Jordyn. Their story was somewhat insta-lovie and thought I’m not a fan of when authors do that, the love they had for each other truly felt genuine.

Strong ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 1/2 stars.
