Welcome to Top Ten Tuesday. The Top Ten Tuesday Meme was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together. This week’s prompt is Unpopular Bookish Opinions. I love hearing everyones unpopular bookish opinions. Spill all the tea!
- I really enjoy controversial/problematic romance novels 🤷 🤷
- The Girl on the Train (book and movie) were awful.
- Sometimes the movie is better than the book.
- I do not feel the need to organize my books on my bookshelves by color and/or size.
- MOST classics are overrated. I do love me some Jane Austen thought, even though I HATE Historical Romance.
- Sometimes I think we care too much about what other people read. Read what you want to read, don’t read something just because it is popular.
- I actually enjoyed the Twilight saga and I would love to read it again and see if and how my opinion changes.
- I don’t like the pressure people put on themselves to read a certain number of books a year. It’s fine if you make a goal for yourself, but don’t make it a big deal if you don’t read as much as you would like. It’s not a competition. We are reading for fun, don’t turn it into something you end up hating.
- Everyone that I talk to who read The Outsiders in high school loved it. I think it is trash.
- Audiobooks are books.
Let me know if we have any in common!

We read the outsiders in high school .. I didn’t understood a thing as I wasn’t fluent like my peers; it took me longer to understand the language. so I completely have no opinions on it xD all I remember is being forced to read something I had not even a slight clue of what was happening. I however will NOT pick it back up now just to see.
I totally feel no.6, most of what I read is unpopulars books xD though I will pick a few “Ive heard good of this one alot” but generally the most hyped being fantasy, it’s not my cup of tea personally.
my shelves also has NO ORDER whatsoever 😂 just placed so they somewhat all fit on my shelves ahaha

Exactly! I hated be forced to read things in school. Maybe if I read them again my opinion would change? Lol
Number 6 is so important! That happens to me all the time and I get disappointed almost every time I read a really hyped up book because I usually end up not liking it.
Same. I just say maybe if I shove this here these books will fit in just fine. Maybe if I had more books I’d be more particular about it.

Forcing someone will most often then not end up negatively.. maybe it would, or maybe not- in spite of it 😂
Yeah, for me I end up liking most of them – but like, just okay. Wouldnt reread or anything. Some i’ve became crazy about, like all our bright places for exemple.
Or more shelving, hahaga mine aren’t that big so really juste shoce em all and hope it fits to buy more 😂😂

I know. I need to stop doing that to myself 🤣
Unfortunately for me I haven’t read a really hyped book that I really feel in love with. Maybe one day I’ll find one lol
Yes, more shelving 🤣

Somehow I finished that book. I don’t know why because it just made me so mad and I hated it. I DNF the movie. It was just as bad as the book (maybe even worse).

I am so with you on number 10 – of course audiobooks are books – it’s strange to me that anyone thinks otherwise! Great list 😊
