We jump right back into the book where we left off in book one. A failed mission to get Elise back left the Roman and Julia even more determined this next go around. I really don’t want to go into any details on the book because I don’t want to give anything away. But I will say that I loved the interaction between our main characters and all of the secondary characters. There wasn’t any information overload and was great learning a little bit more about the Murphy family and their dynamic. The suspense and anxiety that I felt throughout this entire book were even more than the first book. I couldn’t wait to find out what was going to happen. Throughout multiple times in the book, I thought I knew what was gonna happen and by the end of the book, I was absolutely shocked. Just when you think you know exactly what is going to happen, the story would go in the opposite direction.

One of the main reasons why I gave the books 5 stars is because it is not a typical plot that you know exactly what’s going to happen. I truly enjoyed guessing what might happen throughout all the books that I’ve read. I enjoyed the books way more when I couldn’t figure out how the plot was going to unfold and I’m completely shocked at the end. This book has done that for me and I can’t give it enough praise. Michelle St. James does a great job again! The suspense, adventure, and romance all even each other out there is a great balance between all three. No doubt this was another ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ read. I can’t wait to dive into the final book.
